2 x 256mb DDR Ram modules generic

Old 40gig hard drive

You'll need an optical drive to load Windows. LOL! Just don't push that power supply too hard. 300 watts doesn't go very far these days.

You may want to save some money and just go with a 128 mb version of the 9600 pro. If it saves you enough money buy more RAM or a new hard drive.

Yeah sorry there'll be a Liteon burner with all that and I'm forgetting the floppy disk.

The 256mb version is the only 9600pro I can find except for a 128mb version that is like double the price because it includes extras like tv tuner. 512mb should do fine - gettin more is more money and I'll survive with a forty gig hard drive for now and just wait for some cheaper SATA's on the market.

Hate to tell you this-
"Gigacube/GeXcube/Gag-n-puke Not a fan of theirs, don't like a few of their practices like the 'pro-lite', don't trust their build quality, think of it as the same as OEM. This is definitely NOT Gigabyte, like they try to make people believe. Stay away unless you like Russian roulette, or have no other choice."
From the gfx card buyers guide in the gfx card forum, talking about ATI card manufacturers... :/

Splendid
It's a small improvement, but a good move. Next time, try Amd, they really are better for gaming.
The giga card may run a little slower than other 9600pros, but it's a good gpu. Go Play!

9600s are difficult to pick from any manufacturer - even Sapphire make 'EZ' versions, with slower ram and slightly undercvlocked. Of course, they don't make this clear.

Have a look on ebay - today I saw a 9500 Pro for 30 quid! So its good in that sense. Anyway, you'll lobve that performance inccrease. Enjoy :)

heya;

Agreed Abit Is7 retail goes for about $90 shipped right now and its a wicked sick mobo, also go with a reputable graphics card company like BFG, they are great cards for a great price, also you dont need a 256MB card, there arent currently any games that require 256MB, and besides that card doesnt have enough raw power to fully utilize 256MB, even if you had a game that used it all, stick to 128MB its plenty.
