Hello I'm on a very tight budget ever since Sandy took out my house. My question is there is a I7 2600 WITH 550 TI , 8gb DDR ram with a z77 board on Craigslist. I went and check out the system and it seems to run beautiful with games. Btw I only play guild wars 2. He is asking 850 is that a fair price. I also think I can get it a hundred lower. I'm just a little nervous buying a used rig. Thank you

Build your own. There's no need for an i7 in a gaming rig. It's useless. For $850 you can build yourself a much better gaming rig (brand new). I'll be back in a few minutes with a parts list.

If you need an operating system, you'll have to sacrifice a bit on the GPU. Which isn't terrible. Considering GW2 is an MMO, it isn't that GPU intensive. Here's a revised list...

It's really not that difficult to build one. All it takes is a screwdriver and some common sense. It's a lot like legos, lol. Here's a good guide to help ya along the way...

Great. I am doing it. One last thing someone on CL has the i5 3750 that is 3 months old. he said he would take 125 for it. Is that a no no or is second hand cpu ok to buy.

That's a difficult bargain. $125 for that CPU is a great deal. However, we don't know what shape it's in. If you trust the person selling it, then I'd definitely go for it. Otherwise, you're better off building your system with all new parts.
