Guitar Hero 3 on Windows 8?

So, I've been trying to get guitar hero 3 running on Windows 8 for a few hours now, and it just gives me the error that says "d3dx9_35 dll" is missing. i'm assuming that's a direct x file. Guitar Hero 3 uses direct x 9.0c. and all of my other games that use direct x 9.0c like Garrys Mod, and Counter Strike, run fine. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Ive tried that, it just told me that a newer version of direct x was already installed, so it didn't install anything.
