Hello Guys need some help here!!!
My system is already builded & its preety new like 2 months old. I am currently using GTX 750 Ti as my computer GPU which is from my old system. I didn't change GPU coz 980Ti was arriving soon. I game at 1080p and all I want is to play games at high settings for 2 years or max 2.5 years around 40 to 60FPS.I am looking forward for GTX 980Ti 6GB but AMD R9 Series with HBM memory??I am totally confused. I like NVIDIA cards more than AMD because they have better driver, games nowadays are more optimized for Nvidia cards than AMD, they thave their own settings for game, etc. which is probably benefit to own a Nvidia cards. I can't understand what is HBM from AMD r9 300 series, they are limited to 4GB and both the GTX 980Ti & 300 series are likely to have same price. So, my questions are: Will AMD be able to beat current gen Maxwell GPUs with HBM?? Will they be able to get more like 20 to 40+ FPS than Nvidia? Will it be bad step to choose GTX 980Ti at this stage or it should be fine?? I don't want fanboys answers. I want proper answer.
MY current specs are:
Mother Board: ASUS Hero Maximus VII Hero LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.0GHZ (8MB Cache) - Non-Tray Version
GPU: Current 750Ti (but confused to choose between 980Ti or R9 390X)
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel 2x8 GB
HDD: Western Digital 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0GB/S
SSD: 256GB SSD Samsung 850 EVO
Optical Drive: ASUS 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)
Power Supply: Corsair CX600M 80+ Bronze Certified Modular PSU
CPU Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper EVO 82.9 CMF Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Casing: Corsair Carbide Air 540 ATX Cube Case
Thanks in advance. Please help me guys!! 🙂
