Windows 10 has forced itself upon 2 of my PC's upon which I had declined it's advances. There are at least 3 methods of keeping your machine's virginity.

Restore an image at least 4 months prior. MS has been sneaking GWX on PC's. Don't believe it? Do a search in the registry and w/in your storage (hdd, ssd) for GWX. Also note that Group Policy has been silently activated. There are 3 Windows updates that must be uninstalled, then hidden, to keep it from coming back. GWX items must be "owned", audited with permissions, and uninstalled with elevated permissions. Takes about 3 hours but restores your 7 or 8.1 to an unmolested state.
