Hey, I wanted to know if my mobo (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3168#ov) will be able to support a Hyper X HX316C10FR/4 (http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/HX316C10FR_4.pdf) or a Corsair Vengeance 4GB Single Module DDR3 (http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-4gb-single-module-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz4gx3m1a1600c9).
I'm asking because I bought a Kingston KVR13N9S8/4 and it didn't work.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
No they are not compatible, (and for a couple of reasons), the Fury operate off PnP rather than XMP, the DRAM PnP support didn't come into play till the 1155/P67 chipset. They also use high density memory ICs which generally aren't compatible with the earlier 1156/P55 chipset based mobos. I'd look for the original line of Ripjaws, (not the X or Z models) or GSkill's NT series of sticks, both use low density ICs and are XMP based
Evening,

Your motherboard, memory.

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
Dual channel memory architecture
Support for DDR3 2200/1600/1333/1066/800 MHz memory modules
Support for non-ECC memory modules
Support for Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) memory modules

Those memory modules are compatible, you're fine.

Maybe the Kingston memory came broken?

Regards,
