I've been having trouble with system crashing with my computer that I built last year and I figured it was overheating (hasn't crashed in 6 months because I disabled amd turbo core and dusted the fan (I hate dust)) But I've been using coretemp to read temperatures and I thought they were correct, (last time it crashed my cpu was at 69C running l4d2 in windowed) sometimes I use H/W Monitor and I was looking at the package temp for the processor and it was telling me it got up to 80-90C when playing League of legends so I thought that was stupid and ignored it. What I'm wondering is if I should be looking at the CPUTIN under the motherboard because that shows much more believable temperatures such as 30-40 idle 40-60 full load. Just now I took a picture of both h/w monitor and Core temp side by side during minecraft (only played for 2 minutes) and coretemp showed 18C and H/W monitor showed 60-78C on the package temp and 40-50 on the CPUTIN (I'm to busy to figure out how to upload the pic). Which is right?
