H100 Underperforming

I just recently installed a H100 to my Ivy Bridge rig and was wondering what everyone else's temps were at with some light overclocking. I will also have my build down below.

I have the H100 installed at the top of my case as an exhaust and only using the two fans pushing air out over the radiator I guess if that even sounds right. So I am just wondering if I am getting about similar results with everyone or if my H100 is underperforming a bit. Even if it is underperforming I know it is only by a small amount which is a big deal for a hundred dollar cooler.

All of these temps were with the fan speed at medium and I have tried it with high and low and obviously with low the temps are higher but not much quieter, it is already pretty quiet at medium and with high there is really no difference maybe a degree lower each but nothing that really sticks. If I have the window in the office open and its cold out (I live in Phoenix) then maybe it will get to 28-29 at idle @ 3.8 if I'm lucky. So I am just wondering if I am missing something or just be happy...did I get unlucky with the chip lottery or unlucky with the H100 refurb lottery? Are these temps normal or a bit high? Will Push/pull help me? I am getting another set of H100 dual 120 mm fan kit maybe next month just going to be a weird fit in my case and the top heatsink on my mobo.

Something that matters a lot with the Ivy/Sandy bridge CPU is the voltage.

Are you running a fixed voltage or are you running Auto/Offset? With Auto and Offset the voltages will actually ramp during higher loads. With my CPU at auto a 4Ghz clock would send 1.4 or more into my CPU at high usage which causes some pretty high temperatures. However with my offset set down to -0.500v it has the processor quite cool and only IntelBurnTest is capable of causing it to hit 60C.

I don't have any personal reference to give you an idea on the coolers performance. However those don't sound too bad to be honest as I believe the TJMax on the Ivy is something like 105C. Personally I don't like going much over 70C for any reason.

Mine is on auto and never goes above 1.16v. I have not started heavy oc yet since I still need to do some more research on ocing so I have not messed with voltages. All I do is light oc with multiplier and oc genie on my mobo.

Prime temps @4.5 after 2 hours 52* on the hottest core, ave temp 50*
Idle Temps @4.5 26*-29*
Prime temps @4.2 50* max on any core, ave temp 46*
Idle Temps 25*-29*

Intel burn test hit 60* on the hottest core once never able to repeat that data.

oc gene 2 will auto your voltage but under load it will set it to 1.3volts it also set max using able wattage to 200 over the 77 limit. play around with it and see whats it does you sould be able to drop a few degrees eazy.
