Hi guys, just wanted to ask a quick question before I take the plunge and buy some fans.

I have a red/black theme for my desktop (Black corsair 650D with red lights and such) and I had a question about the fans that go with the H100i that I have installed. I currently have 2 Corsair SP120's pushing air through the rad as an exhaust, and was just wondering if a couple of red AF120's would be ok to use to pull air that the SP120's are pushing through the rad. Im hoping it will not have a negative effect on the flow of air anyway as I wanted these purely for aesthetic reasons as the AF120's have a nice red glow effect.

Many thanks!

It wouldn't do anything bad. All it would do is slightly increase the airflow because it's AF fans that have more CFM combined with SP fans that give additional static pressure. It's perfectly fine to do so.

It will be a waste of money and time.

You are placing airflow designed fans on a radiator which need static pressure fans. You already have static pressure fans pushing, you do not need airflow fans pulling.

If they are going to be installed just for looks then install them elsewhere such as intake fans up front or rear exhaust, no sense hiding them behind a radiator if they will be installed just for looks.

Thanks guys, will stick to the SP fans :) Lastly, I have a CM megaflow fan at the front (200mm) that is running at 730rpm (think it only goes to a max of 700 lol) is that enough for an intake fan just for the gpu and to blow over the hard drives while the others are exhaust fans?

Many thanks
