Hi all just a quick question because i'm fairly certain I know the answer. I recently switched to a new case and while reinstalling my cooler the girlfriend was talking to me -.- and I plugged the H100i into the CPU fan header the wrong way and booted my computer, it booted for some reason and I noticed my 4790K was running at 90c so I immediately shut it down and noticed what I did wrong. I also smelled something like an electrical burning. Strangely enough my H100i pump works and all my fans are still running i'm now idling at 29c.. but Corsair link is dead, no LED and no fan controls I've tried everything. I'm thinking I shorted something out on my h100i when I did that. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Hello

You probably have yes, but I would use my stock CPU cooler to test if I did not hurt the fan header and then check if you can see the fan status in the BIOS to make sure its still working properly. If it is, well then the H100i might have been damaged.

Hope this helps :)

Good idea i'll try that when I get home.

Put my stock cooler on, everything works, h100i is the culprit. Gonna go grab another one from Bestbuy and see -.-

Then return the broken one in the newly purchased box for your money back....

Glad I could help 😀
