So I just installed a new H100i GTX cooler into my system, I decided not to use the Corsair Link software and did not connect the 2 fans in the the CPU_FAN spliter, I plugged them directly into the MOBO into system fan slots. After doing all this I noticed that my CPU_FAN in my BIOS says that its running at 0rpm, isn't this the coolers pump power? I know that the pump is running but my BIOS says that its not, anyone know this issue?

Names in bios are static. If you haven't plugged anything in the CPU_FAN slot then you will see 0 rpm, that's why it's better to install everything in the appropriate slot for best monitoring. Just check where the pump is connected to, but again, maybe check one of the many guides on installing: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/blog/2015/march/h100i_gtx_how_to
and follow the normal procdure, after all no reason not to connect them where they are meant to go (the engineers in corsair which know better than any of us have already seen to that).

Does the pump get power from the 3 pin fan header? or the USB link cable? Cuz I have the 3 pin header plugged into the CPU_FAN header but I just didn't connect the 2 cooling cans to it.

100% sure, the 3 pin power cable coming from the pump has a splitter for the 2 rad fans, but i did not use those, I went right to the mobo with the rad fans

When ever I use those header, the fans are at 100% and can't be slowed down. I even tried slowing them down with Corsair Link, no luck
