Hello,

Recently i thought i need to get a new pc case and i choose a Corsair Obsidian 450D. I also realised that it would be better with a liquid cooling system. i currectly have a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 heat sink and i get about 35C on standby with an i5 4690K not OC.

Your idle temp will probably not change much, nor does it matter.

I personally recommend air coolers as they are cheaper, perform the same, and are much quieter than liquid coolers.

A Noctua NH-D15 would be great for you. MUCH quieter than AIO coolers, but beats the h100i by 2-3c.

Two things i forgot to mention is irst that i will get 2 corsair fans AF120 Quiet Edition High Airflow to change cause i saw on forums too that the H100i AND H110i are REALLY NOISY!

Good advice here regarding the Corsair AIO and air coolers... FWIW, I have the H110 and H80i. I would agree that at speed the stock fans are loud, but in both my cases the cooling capacity of the AIO was beyond what was needed to the point where the stock fans could be dialed down and not be heard (much). If you are overclocking an i5 there is absolutely no need for a 240mm / 280mm radiator unless you are in a very hot climate. ...it is just too much cooling capacity that you won't use. If you really want to go with water cooling, look toward a 120mm / 140mm radiator setup. IMHO the better option is with an air cooler. The Noctua NH-D15 is the top-dog, however the NH-D14 is a bit cheaper and will have no issues letting the i5 stretch its legs while overclocking.
