H100i v2 pump speed is only running at 900 rpm

Hello i recently purchased an h100 i and My pump speed is only running at 900 rpm but my temps dont seem that bad either 35 to 40 c idle and 50 to 60 using real bench with 100 percent load. I've read that it should be runnning at 2000 rpm at all times is something wrong with my H100i v2?

Without messing with the pump speeds and settings in Corsair Link, by default, the pump will run at 50%~ish. From what you're describing, I don't see anything wrong, although I have essentially no information to work with.

I have it set on high performance too and it is plugged into cpu fan header but i currently only have one fan installed on there idk if that could be the cause of it?

High performance/quiet are fan profiles. They don't touch pump speed. The 3pin (or are the v2's 4pin, i don't know, i have a first gen h100i) fan plug looking thing is supposed to go into the CPU fan header, although it doesn't do anything at all. I made my h100i pump spin at 850rpm just to avoid the excess noise/heat/vibration from running it any faster. Even though they're supposed to hit 2000 rpm, they're too weak to actually spin that fast. The half way mark for those things is around 900-950rpm.

Again, the only way to change pump speed of a corsair AIO (that I've tested, anyway) is to use Corsair Link software.

The fan header's in Corsair coolers only have a sense wire attached, so the MB senses a fan attached, but it isn't voltage or PWM controlled because both wires (and the ground) are missing. The profile will change the pump speed, and performance sets a higher limit, but profile limits will get overridden should it be required. You can change the fan speed to whatever you like with the fan curve in Corsair Link. The pump has just two settings.
