H110 chipset mobo W/ i3 7100

So, both the mobo and the CPU are LGA 1151, so the physical chipsets are the same- but the mobo is a microATX H110. Do they conflict? Will I need to flash BIOS? If so, can I supplement the 7100 for a 6100? Thanks!

No conflict. Yes, most likely you will need to upgrade BIOS (no way to tell beforehand what BIOS version will mobo have when shipped). Yes, you can use 6100 instead.

For the 7100 you will probably need to flash the BIOS and you can't without having a working PC. The only safe option is the i3 6100

Agreed. We are still 4 months away from being able to assume that 1xx serries boards will have newest bios.

Thus either go 7100 + b250 board or 6100 + h110/b150 board.
