Hi, I am kinda stumped on which 280mm water cooler to get. It's been a while since I have built a PC and I want something I can have fun with and overclock.

So the parts listed in the title are the coolers I am interested in. I have heard the EVGA CLC 280 and Corsair H115i Extreme are among the best choices in terms of performance. Which is what I primarily care about.

I have noticed that the H115i Extreme is no longer listed and what remains is the H110i Extreme.

I was wondering what was the reason why the H115i is not available anymore and if the H110i is a good substitute? Is the CLC 280 a better choice?

Thanks!

The H115i Extreme was replaced by the H115i Pro. I would recommend H115i Pro over the H110i. Mainly because it comes with better fans. The H115i Pro has ml 140mm fans while the H110i has sp 140mm fans. The ml fans are much quitter and can work as both air flow and static pressure. They are Corsair's high end fan.

I have not used the EVGA CLC, so I cant comment on it.

You can get the H115i Pro at Newegg.

Ya the h115i pro is a decent setup, I can run my 7700k@5.0ghz when I'm feeling froggy at very rarely get above 70c. Super quiet and so far utterly reliable. (As I type this my pump fails, kidding) I have not used the other products personally

Most AIO coolers use one of 3 or so actual pump designs. They're all just rebranded models of one another so the majority of differences between them is going to be overall radiator size, fan speed/CFM and any software that might accompany the cooler.

I just got a couple of the new Corsair coolers to test, will be doing so in the next few days.

Very cool, would you be able to briefly share your findings?

Also, for some more clarification. I plan to buying a i9 9900k with a Coolermaster H500M case. As a follow up, would there be any other AIO coolers that would be better than mentioned above?

Thanks!

The reviews will be out in a few weeks.

I personally rarely 'recommend' an AIO cooler - I just think the money is better spent either on a good air cooler or full watercooling. That's just me.

I can recommend looking at the Corsair H150i Pro which is there latest 360mm AIO. I currently am using this AIO on my overclocked 8700K 4.9GHz 24/7 use and no issues keeping it cool at 5GHz. I can highly recommend it both in terms of cooling performance and the sound performance with the 3 mag lev fans..With the reviews of the 9900K just out, it looks like a very good cooling solution will be required and if overclocking then at least a 280mm but 360mm is probably the way to go. Also I have the Cooler Master H500P Mesh which is not very different from the H500M (wish I had seen that before) and it has a really good setup for AIO's...

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I think I will be going for a 360 AIO. I saw some of the temperatures on the 9900k and 9700k. I'm kinda worried. Thanks for the suggestions btw.
What do y'all think about those high temperatures? Still go for the 9900k?
