This is with Windows 7 64 bit Professional.
Just got my new mobo, i5 6500, ddr4 2 x 4gb, heatsink. Installed it. Boots into windows, i installed all necessary drivers but i see USB 3.0 isnt finding its own driver automatically, so i went to gigabytes website and downloaded and installed the intel usb 3.0 driver.

I restart and plug in my keyboard n mouse but the lights on them turn off when the 'starting windows' splash-screen finishes. On the logon screen i cant use anything in the usbs.. So i found a PS/2 keyboard and put my wifi adapter and mouse in the 2 usbs at the top of my case. Someone please help, i cant seem to find a solution really..

Did you do a clean install of Windows 7, or was this carried over on a HDD/SSD from another build? If it was not a clean install, the old motherboard's chipset drivers (and other drivers) are imbedded in the OS and will give you problems, even if you installed the drivers for your new build.

Yeah, im still using the same hdd with the same windows. So if i do a reinstall of Windows 7 will that delete the rest of my files? Should i move my games and programs to another drive while i install the os?

Yes, move anything you want to keep to another drive, as doing the clean install of Windows will wipe the drive clean. Your other programs will most likely have to be reinstalled after Windows. Pictures, music files, Office documents, etc. can just be copied back once the Windows installation is complete.

Thank you very much i will do that now. Thanks for the quick clear answers :)
