Hi guys, I want to install an H80 in my computer, but I am not sure if I am able to. My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3. When I look at the back of the case, where I am supposed to mount the backplate, I do not see any slots for it to mount. So the real question is, will it work?

Here is a picture of the back:

That is an AMD motherboard and the backplate that comes with the H80 is for use on an Intel motherboard. For AMD you don't need to change to back plate, but you do have to change the mount on the waterblock and use the default one on the motherboard.

gotcha, yeah, i looked at the H80 for a while, and I finally got the ND-H14 after lots of people saying it's better. I talked to one guy earlier today who got his 2600K to 5GHz on it. But I am worried about clearance above my RAM, between the top and side of my case, and above my GPU...
