H80i single fan?

Hello everyone, this post is for assistance/opinions on a 1 fan and RAD setup for H80i inside a Corsair 230T case, which has plenty of ventilation.
I have seen other builds with one fan and RAD only. I would like to go this route as:

backcase<----RAD<----FAN<----
and hose will be directed to top of case.

This setup would increase the space for the cooler mount.
What is the community verdict, please advise
Thanks again

Someone may correct me on this but I would go:

Case<--Fan<--Rad

I would have the fan pulling air through the rad instead of trying to blow it out of the rad and through the vent on the back, but I could be wrong. I would just try it both ways and run some tests and see which is cooler. If I recall correctly the cooling performance gains on a single 120mm rad in a push/pull over a single fan are not that great and that you only see real gains on a push pull on 240mm rads and greater.

Ok thanks TimTech guess I will have to experiment with the setup.
Also was planning on putting that 2nd fan on bottom of case next to PSU to pull in cool air.
Would this help with temps?
So basically setup for airflow would look like this:

2 stock front intake
1 of H80i fan on bottom (pulling)
then exhaust:
back of case<<<RAD<<<<FAN

Let me know if this a good resolution or setup

It depends on how many of the PSU wires are going to be sitting directly over the fan and what surface the computer will be sitting on. I just looked at your case and what I would also try is to have your H80i blowing mounted to the rearmost top fan mount and to have your stock exhaust fan blowing air in from the back directly under the Rad. That way you are pulling cool air in directly below the rad to have have it be pulled through and vent all the heat from the CPU directly out the top.

That's a very interesting case and should offer you plenty of options to test.

Thank you again for reply, I bought this case due to budget and size, as I did not like bulkiness of a full tower.
Your suggestion is definitely another good config! I will have to try out. And yes I will have to see how my wiring ends up looking to decide on bottom intake fan. My build will not be sitting on carpet & it will be slightly elevated so I have access to the filter underneath the PSU.
