H80i V2 enough to cool my fx8350 BE

iv recently got a cpu and it came with wraith cooler iv managed to get nice temps with the wraith cooler around 55 max on most games but i am planing on getting corsair H80i V2 but i am not going to OC my cpu will that be enough to keep my cpu cool below 55C ?? Thanks

whats important about 55 ? Max temp is 70. H80i V2 will outperform the wraith.

H80i is a better cooler than the wrath but lowering temps when they're already well below what you should be concerned about will provide no benefits.

AMD CPU's tend to enjoy being cooler more than mattering how much voltage you crank into them when you overclock (at least with the Phenom II).

I had a case with poor cooling/ventilation. Had Evo 212+ installed. I could run my Phenom II x4 940 at 3.6. Temps didn't exceed 58C and was nice. I couldn't break 3.6 though, even with pushing the voltage up to 1.55 (max the board would do for CPU voltage)

I picked up a H50 for about $28 (was on sale at Best Buy, just happened across it while killing time during my work lunch hour). I installed it and she worked better in my tower. The CPU ran a good 6 degrees cooler than it did with the 212+. I could set the voltage at 1.45 and hit 3.6GHz whereas I was using 1.475V with the Evo 212+ cooler. I could then push the voltage to 1.5125V and push her to 3.71 and still run stable. Temps at 3.71 with 1.5125V was around 60C.

But, if the OP isn't overclocking, then, as you said Ecky - it really doesn't matter as long as temps are good.
