The H81 can overclock the G3258 Pentium, actually. But as for other chips, a big difference is a lot of H81 won't recognize a Haswell refresh out of the box. That means if you want to do a 4460 or 4590 then you need another chip to boot and flash the bios before you can boot with your processor.
