I have a Asrock H87 Pro4 MB. Which has an expansion slot: 1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot (PCIE2: x16 mode). What does mean (PCIE2: x16 mode)?

Can I install a graphic cards requiring "PCI Express x16 3.0" in the above expancion slot?

pcie 3.0 is backwards compatible with older versions ( 1.0, 2.0 )



the x4, x8, x16 etc are in regards to the amount of lanes it has, the higher the better
