My dad is building a new system with intentions of using a dual boot setup. He is having trouble booting up Mac OS X through USB and I dont know anything about hackintoshs. His specs:

-I5 6500
-Gigabyte H170M-DS3H
-Asus Strix 750ti 2gb
-Crucial MX300 750gb (Mac)
-Sandisk SSD Plus 240gb (Windows)
-Ballistix Sport 2400mhz 2x8gb

After an unsuccessful boot with the 750ti, he read it is better to boot using the integrated graphics (HD 530) and put the GPU in later. He has been trying to troubleshoot for the past couple hours without success. The computer will begin booting, but is unsuccessful once it finishes loading. He has already tried moving the USB to different ports (as suggested by an online guide) with no results. Any suggestions?

Solution
use a single stick of ram
remove the windows drive till you have a working o.s.

building a hackintosh can be a very finicky process as your finding out 😉
so its best to start with the bare minimum of hardware to keep conflicts to a minimum... 1s the system is booting you can install your kexts and then add the extra bits of hardware. :)
