[SOLVED] Hackintosh Setup

Hey guys,

I've just ordered a new computer (specs below) and am wondering if it's possible to do a proper hackintosh setup on it.

I've never done it before, ever.

If there are any hardware risks involved that can completely destroy my internals, please advise me on whether I should take the plunge or not.

Any guides, advice etc would be helpful

Is it practical to be using a hackintosh as a main computer setup?

I don't have cash to burn and really can't afford to screw up my system.

Specs:
CPU: 2600k i7
Mobo: ASrock extreme 4 gen 3
PCIEExpress: sapphire radeon 6970
RAM: 4gb (1600mhz) x 2
HD: 500gb 7200rpm sata

If I'm missing any other important specs to mention, please tell me.

(oh and I have a legit copy of the OS. Which one of the Mac versions is optimal, though?)

I second this! You will be better served if you get a gigabyte mobo instead, but it is better to go to tonymacx86 to do your homework.
