Discussion Had the 3090 in my Newegg cart but couldn't close the deal fast enough

I managed to click on a 3090 card at exactly opening bid this morning but it vanished from my newegg shopping cart within 10 seconds, faster than I could click on checkout. It seems the bots stole the show again.

Expect to see 3090s on eBay for $5K this morning.

Dont worry went on my website and pressed buy now went to the payment security thing kicked me out and other website just went stright to pre order without buy now thing

That is exactly what happened to me last week with the 3080. Had one in my cart, buy the time I wanted to purchase it it was removed from the cart.

I preordred 3080 and 3090 and 3090 due date is 5th October so can wait for 10 days so if 3080 comes first then cancel 3090 and if 3090 comes first cancel 3080

Managed to get add to cart on Nvidia website store but it just indefinitely hangs on the checkout screen.

Unlike the 3080 I was actually able to get one into the cart that went right to out of stock. Bots at it again.

Hopefuly they learned and look at each order adresses and cancel the there GPU if they ordered more then one and then with those spare orders check pre order list and give it to people who pre ordered it

This is essentially a paper launch. I guess we'll see if AMD comes through

I am now prepared to wait for a long time. I actually want a specific board partner 3080 and my hope to get one soon kinda died. So I can as well wait and see what AMD has to offer (even so they have to come up with something extraordinary good, in order to make me go away from Nvidia, at least same rasterization performance, same raytracing performance and even their own proofed version of DLSS 2.0 compared to 3080, for better price to make me switch).
