Hadware chapture video for windows 7

I Have handycam minidv camera, and i have one set computer with windows 7 ultimate. I wil chapture video from handycam to the pc computer with fireware ward 1394, so i can not do. why? so, whinfo@baliboerphotography.comat solution???

sony vegas editing program is not only a means to connect the camera from MiniDV to a computer via a cable. I have a 1394 fireware card but can not be detected by windows 7
