Hello all, just built my first gaming build.

I'm brand new to this, so sorry if this is a silly question but...

In my old PC that I bought from my brother the fans connected to the motherboard, and were able to controlled by the motherboard.
However this case the fans(including the extra 200 mm I bought for the second spot on top) just plug directly into the power supply(and are never connected to the MB)

Is this correct? It looks like the fan wires come out as a connector that, to me, looks like it could plug into a MB, but instead it plugs into a cable that connects it to the peripheral cords from the power supply.

So as far as I can tell this means the 5 case fans will all run at a steady speed, regardless of the computer temperature.

So far I have not had any temperature problems, but I also have yet to test it(waiting for my thermal paste to settle first). My CPU fan hooks into the MB, and the highest temp I've seen on my cpu was 50, but my CPU fan was only running at 830 rpm(and it can run up to 1200).

Is it correct to have the case fans simply running at a steady speed, and only the CPU fan adjusting?

One more question(sorry this is so long!)
My fan set-up is as follows:
Bottom front of the case is an intake fan
Side of the case(directly next to the GPU) is intake
Top two fans are exhaust
Rear fan is exhasut

Now there is about 3-4 inches between my first CPU heatsink, then between the first and second heatsink is the first CPU fan that blows away from the rear exhaust fan, then is the second heatsink, followed by the second fan that also blows away from the rear exhaust fan, is this a good fan set-up, or would it be better to place the fans reversed, so they blow out the rear exhaust?

My thinking was that the cpu heat will be pushed to the empty space near my ram, then pulled up and out by the top fans.
But I'm worried the fans might be "fighting" each other for air

Remember there is an intake fan just a little lower and to the side of these

I have decided I will leave the fans as they are;researched showed that fans are built to run at max rpm constant, the only real reason for running them lower is for noise.

My pc is downstairs, and also right next to the intake vent for my house central air, the house central air drowns out any noise my computer makes lol.
