Solution Colif Feb 4, 2018 hardware allocation layer... PC can't start without it as it is what lets windows talk to hardware. have you tried safe mode though I expect it won't work either boot from installer, on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install choose troubleshoot choose advanced choose command prompt follow this from step 3: https://www.lifewire.com/use-bootsect-nt60-to-update-the-volume-boot-code-to-bootmgr-2617975 have you run chkdsk?
