Valve: "Someone stole our code, so we cannot release the game this year"

Why can't fatboy Gabe just admit the POS game is not ready for release? Why does he have to make up stories of hackers stealing "code" to hype the game with free publicity?

Even though it actually has been leaked/stolen because people are playing it now.

Having a portion of the source code for an application doesn't necesarily mean you will be able to use that portion - it could be dependent on other source code, or media for example. In fact it's highly unlikely the portion of code would be usable.

You can play a portion who needs the redering modules or physics modules.

LOL as if the source code is playable. I was referring to the beta that everyone is going on about that was apparently leaked with the code????? Just stating whats going around other forums....
