Half my 4 TB HDD is unallocated, What Do?

Hi,
I'm looking to Shrink my C: drive, make the unallocated space into a second drvie to put everything on. However, when right clicking on the unallocated space, all the options are grayed out, and unusable.

This is what it looks like in disk management.

You probably need to convert your partitioning structure from MBR to GPT.

Probably because the drive is MBR-partitioned and not GPT-partitioned.

I just checked, and that's grayed out as well.

I think this could be a result of this being my main drive.

Assuming your Win 10 OS (I'm assuming that's your OS) is reasonably up-to-date you can probably use the Win 10 built-in MBR-2-GPT disk conversion tool to convert the drive to GPT. Do a Google search for info on accessing & invoking that command. The basic command is: mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullos
