[SOLVED] Half of Each Stick Available

I have 2x16 gb ram sticks in my pc and my bios and windows shows I only have 16 gb of memory. When looking in the bios it shows both ram sticks are in use in their slots, but each only shows 8 gb. The stickers on the sticks and receipts show each ram stick is 16 gb. Not sure what to do.

That's a 16gb kit not 32gb. It's made up of 2 8gb dimms(not 16gb dimms) for a total of 16Gb.

8gb from each stick? -- It clicked with me now - 16 gb from both sticks combined.. Thanks for the help--

Yes, those are 8gb dimms.
