Half of RAM used by Hardware Reserved

Hi just noticed that my computer only has 3.46 GB usable ram when it has 8 GB total.
So I went into resource manager and saw more than half was put under hardware reserved, any ideas why? I've also checked the ram under bios and it shows up 8 GB there, so I have no clue what's causing this any ideas?

You are using a 32 bit operating system, which can only allocate 4GB of memory. Install 64 bit version of Windows.

A 32-bit operating system cannot address over 4Gb. You need a 64-bit operating system to do that.

acctually...you're using 32bit windows and 32bit windows version won't detect RAM more than 3,5GB...try to installing windows with 64bit version and you're will get the full of 8GB..Cheers!
