Question Half of screen is white

I just bought a monitor from someone and half the screen is white and the other half is fine. Now I knew it was like this so I didn't get scammed. But I was wondering if this is a main board problem or a screen problem.

Yeah pretty much. Just wanted to see if I could fix it. I'll try to post a picture.

Also it's not really white but half of the pixels on one side are white.

Well only on start up. In windows they are just different shade. One half is lighter and one is darker.
