Half ram frequency

DRAM is only running at 1070mhz but should be at 3000

I can't adjust the voltage in BIOS or timing

Both sticks work but PC will only boot in slots 1 and 2 despite not being the standard config

Both sticks are being read. One stick will say 8gb at 1070mhz and when both sticks are in it'll read 16gb at 1070mhz.

I don't know what's else to try...

What motherboard/cpu?

You may need to enable the XMP or XMP 2.0 settings in the BIOS. They will give pre-configured settings for the RAM.

Go into ai tweaker in advanced bios and enable xmp

Xmp is enabled and the frequency and timing is right

Download cpu-z check the MEMORY tab if it shows 1500 you're good to go

1500 is 3000 in that program

You have to be in slot 1/3 or 2/4 to get dual channel. Not sure which check your motherboard manual for specifics

Ah yes I see. Cos double. Yeah supposed to be in 1,3 but won't boot in any other slot than 1,2
