I have 8gig CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 (2x4gig 9-9-9-24 1.65V) memory and ASUS M5A97 R2.0 mobo. the problem is that windows recognize 8gig but with half of it hardware reserved, in bios it only shows 4gig. the thing is that in bios spd it shows both ram with correct specifications, also when I use cpu z .( in cpu z it shows single channel)
I also checked my sticks and changed the slots in every different position, loosen the cooling system, changing the voltage in bios (since my sticks are 1.65 and my bios default is 1.5).
I checked the memories in memtest and windows diagnostic memory which showed no error.
my question is that how is it possible if one stick is bad but it doesn't show any error in diagnostic softwares and how I can fix it.
I have to add one of sticks does not boot system individually.
