Half Size mSATA SSD > 128 GB

Hello,

I am in search of a half size mSATA SSD that is larger than 128 GB. It is to upgrade the stock hard drive within an Asus Laptop, B551LG-XB51. The stock hard drive is a Kingston, but even Kingston support had no idea if they made larger ones. They said it is an OEM drive so they wouldn't have information on that.

A full sized mSATA drive will not fit, as I already attempted to install one. The layout of the motherboard is lacking to say the least as the RAM bay is directly in the way.

Any links to larger products would be greatly appreciated.

A few google searches and it appears you're looking for a "micro-SATA"

I can only find Kingston SSDs that exceed 128GB and there's very few saying that.........plus they are pricey.

240GB @ $300

480GB @ nearly $600

And that seems to be the only options.

As far as I know, there only 1 size of msata. Can you post a pic of your?
