[SOLVED] half the monitor is coverd up by vertical lines

So I bought this 144hz msi gaming monitor for 30 dollars and the owner did say that there was a problem with the display so that's why it's cheap. But is there any way to fix this problem?

I actually just fixed it by setting the refresh rate from 144 to 120
