Handwriting and touch screen

Hello,

I have a question about touch screens. Is it possible, with a touch screen, to add handwriting to a Microsoft Word document? I am a teacher who often has students who send me homework over my staff e-mail. I would love to be able to open their document, correct it directly on a tablet PC (via handwriting software) and send it back to them.

Is this possible?

Just so that I know, is it that my question has no answer, is it boring, or has it been asked before? I tried searching the forum for it before posting, honest I did .
