Hello to everyone taking the time to read my post!

I am in a bit of a bind. About 2 weeks ago, I woke up to find my monitor was black, but the green light showing power was showing it was working. I tested it out with the "flashlight" test, and to my surprise, the image was still working, but with no backlight power.

I have been looking since then to find out how to repair or fix my monitor, seeing as how I have only owned it 2 years, and would like to keep it working. I have yet to find anything on how to come about fixing my monitor, and I was hoping that anyone here might have some insight on how I could go about diagnosing the problem and fixing it.

Thanks again!

This is the monitor.

Bumping for good measure. I know it seems silly, but this monitor was 220 bucks when I bought it, and I know its a simple fix somewhere, I could just really use the help in figuring out how.

I have exactly the same problem with a hanns.g, I think. If I unplug the monitor from the desktop and replug it in the screen works for about two seconds and then goes back to a blank screen!
I don't suppose you got any luck from somewhere else....

I have been looking, and posting everywhere. From what I have discerned from the last month of searching its either. A. Caps that are bad, B. The bulb is bad, or C. The inverter on the board is bad. All I am looking for is some help into what it IS, so that I can fix THAT problem.

my Hanns G HH251 25" monitor just started doing the same thing today - it started flickering the screen this morning and then a few hours later, it just shuts off. I have tried turning the monitor off and then back on and it does exactly as yours does - it comes on for half a second and then goes black again. Have you figured out what the problem was on yours?
