I have a HANNSG 28inch LCD that has been working well for almost 3 years. It worked even fine last night, without any warning sign, ithis morning it gives me a completely white screen, no OSD or anything, just white. I changed source, cable, reseted the monitor, nothing helped.

Does this mean the LCD panel go south? or it may be something simple, like a capacity went bad? Any suggestions?

it's been 9 years, but hey, i thought i'd chime in. i have a hanns-g monitor (it's a 1920X1080 22 incher, not sure the model). it had a white screen most of the times when i powered it up, though sometimes it powered up fine, particularly when it was warm. i opened it up, found two bloated capacitors (both 1000 microfarad, 16volt). they were hooked up in parallel, so i replaced both of them with a single 2200 microfarad capacitor, and now my monitor works again. i leave this here for anyone stumbling across this from a google search.
