So i just build my first PC ever, fun experience. (1060 6gb and ryzen 5 1600) My best mate want's to build a pc aswell. He asked a friend of his stepdad, i believe to make a parts list for him, but i think it's a hard bottleneck. Could anybody confirm this?

I hope u can see this image.

Let me know if i'm right or wrong and have some good arguments 'cus my friend doesn't really believe me.

Thanks in advance

It’s massively unbalanced. He would be far better off dropping to a i5 8400 and getting a better gpu and 16gb RAM. There is no way a 1050 can utilise the performance of a 8700, a i3 8100 is a better pairing with a low end gpu like the 1050.

he has the same budget as me so i told him to just copy my PC,
i don't think i have any bottlenecks, i run everything at 1080p 60fps ultra or very high

btw he already has an 8gb ram stick at home

Your setup looks good.

Having 8gb already and adding another 8gb carries a risk of issues. Often everything is ok but it is possible for RAM bought separately even if same make and model to have problems. Only RAM bought as a matched kit is guaranteed to work together. For this budget and level of system he wants 16gb, he is probably best selling what he has and buying a 2x8gb kit.
