Hi there, so I have a dead pc and I was thinking if I could put its hard disc to my current pc as storage, will I encounter any problems if I do this? Both are windows 7 by the way and I don't have anything to make it as usb storage.

Solution
requirements:
a spare port on the motherboard, a mounting spot for the drive, and sufficient power from the supply. a matching cable for the interface.
I'm pretty sure you can meet all these.
complications:
old hard drive is IDE not SATA. most new motherboards do not have IDE anymore.
after install system may boot to the newly attached drive (if previous OS is still there) and can cause boot loops and other issues. verify the boot device after the drive installation.
Windows may need to import the foreign disk in the disk manager.

shut down computer.
open the side panel.
ground yourself.
mount hard drive into the chassis.
connect the data cable IDE or SATA
insert the insert other end of data cable into proper slot on motherboard...

boot system, enter BIOS and verify the proper drive is selected as the default boot device.
once in windows verify the secondary (newly added) drive is accessible. open disk manager and import the disk if needed.
format or use the drive as you please
