Hard disc melted on the sata cables

Hello i opened my case today and i noticed that both my hard drives material have melted on the sata calbles and on the power cables connected to doscs.Does anybody have an idea why this happened?

what do you mean by "material"?

I suspect a power surge. What power supply do you have? Most likely your power supply does not have very robust over-voltage/over-current protection, or the input voltage from your socket was so great that the current jumped the spark gap between protection components.
