Hard disk connector

My Asus X555LD core i3 laptop hard disk connector had fault so I ordered for a replacement but whenever I fix the new one it goes off automatically and if I remove it...it comes on again.
What can I do to get my laptop working properly again...please its urgent!

Have u tried getting another connector? Maybe the one you bought has a bad build
