why is it that whenever the window xp2 is on the computer restarts itself and brings secondary hard disk dive cannot be found. what is the cause for that?

Most likely, it is due to hardware issues with the drive. Have you run diagnostics on the drive? Hiren's boot CD http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ has diagnostics for most drives.
