Question Hard disk failure

I recently bought a new hard drive for my computer since the old one failed. I am in the process of reinstalling all of my programs. I cannot install the epic game launcher for fortnite because there is some kind of ghost file that is confusing my computer. Does anyone know how to get rid of this bug?
