Hard Disk Formatting

I salvaged a computer that was tossed away and would like to use the Hard Disk from it as a second Hard Disk for my own desktop. Problem is the Hard Disk has a windows password on it. I was wondering if there is anyway to format the disk to zero without having to find the password?

Yes, plug it in to your PC, go to disk management, right click, format.
