Hard disk infinite loop. (Can't change BIOS settings)

Hello there, Apparently I had installed Windows 10 in UEFI mode by accident and wanted to switch to Windows 8.1 because I just didn't like Windows 10.

When I uninstalled Windows 10, I realized I made a horrible mistake: the hard drive was the first boot option.

Whenever I booted up, it just looped into a black screen, which I'm guessing is the hard drive since it said "No bootable disk found" whenever I took it out (It's a laptop).

So I tried putting in a windows disk and then putting in the hard drive, but it said it could not detect a hard drive was there even though Linux could (Linux doesn't support my Ethernet port or wireless port).

After all of that, I tried going into the settings, but it just went straight into network boot instead (without the hard drive).

Hey there, @ProDoesMinecraft!

I'd advise you to boot into the BIOS interface and check your settings there. It might also be a good idea to reset BIOS from the settings and then re-configure any manual changes you have made so far in the BIOS. Make sure the first boot priority is your installation media and then the HDD. If the system still experiences difficulties listing the drive, make sure that it is visible in the BIOS as a listed SATA device. You should also try booting into Legacy BIOS instead of UEFI BIOS and check how the HDD is recognized there and also if you will be able to re-install Windows from there.

Keep me posted & good luck! :)
