I have a Lenovo T520 and have installed a Seagate Firecuda 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive (SSHD), running Windows 10. I find that lately the hard disk light is on constantly, even when I'm not using the laptop. If I got to Task Manager under Processes, it'll often show me Disk Usage of 80% or more, even when I'm doing nothing. The interesting thing is that of the processes that are using the disk, the max usage for any one process is 0.1MB or maybe 0.4MB.

I'm not sure whether there is anything wrong with my system? I ran HD Tune Pro and it reported no problems.

Windows 10 is a very busy doing things like updates in the background, sometimes taking many minutes like ten or more to do updates.During these times it can max out your hard drive when the PC is just idling.Be patient when this happens it should pass.Your best solution is to get a SSD and you shouldn't experience these long periods of 100% hard drive use after that.
I would not say anything is wrong, your drive is just struggling.
