Hard disk not found ( C:/)

Hello,
I am not able to install any kind of softwares on my laptop whenever im trying to install it is sayin'cannot find c:/users/user/desktop/software.exe check for spelling errors and try again'
please help and thanks in advance.

because its not an .exe file .. lol take the .exe off and it will work

also usually alternatively you can select the instillation location via custom install on most program it dosnt matter where you install it just that its on the drive .. in windows 7 C:\Program Files .. or click my computer select the drive you wish to install on and note the location of the folder you wish to install it in and select that when you install what ever program it is .. that or you do not have permissions to install software onto the computer select the installer icon and left click and select run as administrator.. you will be prompted for a password if you do not have permissions
