I had Windows XP installed on my system that crashed suddenly. I tried to repair the drive, but the disk will not show at the time of installation. BIOS shows the drive.
I tried to boot thru Windows98 CD. System boots up but still ni signs of hard disk. Actually I have my Data stored in D and E drive. If I can be able to get that back, will be fine for me.
Later I using external USB connector and tried to connect in another syste. as external disk. The drive again is recognized but I get this error message "Volume information for this disk cannot be found. This may happen if the disk is a 1394 or a USB device on a windows 2000 machine"
Can anyone please help me get back the data in drive D and E?
Thanks in advacne.

Thanks evongugg. You mean to say connect the drive and run Data Recovery Software from the recognized drive and look for unrecognized drive and partition from Recovery Software? Which Data Recovery siftware do you recommend?
